On December 19, 2024, the “Industrial DataSpace Series Event: Automotive Parts Industry Digital Transformation Exchange Salon,” hosted by LinkedData, concluded successfully in Wuxi. The event gathered numerous senior managers and industry elites from the automotive parts sector to discuss new trends in digital transformation and share successful experiences and best practices in areas such as smart factory construction, lean cost reduction, and equipment management.
The salon event began with registration at 13:00, followed by enthusiastic exchanges and discussions among the participants before the official start of the meeting. Attendees shared their insights and experiences on the industry’s development, with topics ranging from lean production to the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation, demonstrating the industry’s strong focus on future development.
The event kicked off with a welcome speech by Mr. Feng Kejia, Vice General Manager of LinkedData, who briefly reviewed LinkedData’s development and achievements in the field of smart factory solutions. Mr. Feng mentioned, “The digital transformation of the automotive parts industry is accelerating across the board. As a leader in smart factory solutions, LinkedData has been committed to helping enterprises improve operational efficiency and drive digital and intelligent transformation in the industry.”
The next session featured an exciting series of presentations. The first was delivered by Mr. Xiang Jianhai, Founder and General Manager of LinkedData, on the topic “New Trends in Smart Factory Construction.” He provided an in-depth analysis of the core architecture of building a smart factory based on a data foundation, explaining how digital technologies can achieve intelligent management throughout the production process, break down traditional information silos, and improve production efficiency.
Next, a supply chain consultant from a top-tier automotive parts manufacturer presented on “Lean Cost Reduction and Digital Efficiency Enhancement.” The speaker emphasized the combination of lean management and digital technologies, showcasing successful cases where intelligent solutions were used to enhance production efficiency and achieve lean cost reductions.
Following this, Mr. Feng Kejia gave a detailed presentation on “Comprehensive Analysis of Equipment OEE Improvement Strategies.” He explained how data-driven and intelligent management can improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and showcased real-life cases where OEE was improved from 50% to 75%.
After the tea break, the agenda continued with a hands-on experience session. Under the guidance of Mr. Feng Kejia, participants had the opportunity to experience LinkedData’s leading technologies at the Future Factory, including smart logistics, digital twins, precise traceability, and flexible robotics. This allowed attendees to gain a deeper understanding of how the integration of IT & OT can enhance overall factory efficiency.
In addition, Mr. Yan Hui, Vice General Manager of LinkedData’s KA Division, shared a case study from a German engine factory, illustrating how intelligent standardized systems and digital tools can improve both personnel and production time efficiency, showcasing the tremendous potential of digital transformation in enhancing operational efficiency.
Next, Mr. Wu Yejun, Technical Director of LinkedData, presented on “Exploring AI Applications in Smart Factories—How AI Large Models Make Equipment Maintenance Simpler.” Mr. Wu analyzed in-depth how AI empowers equipment maintenance, from intelligent prediction and precise diagnostics to autonomous optimization, greatly enhancing equipment reliability and helping companies reduce operational and maintenance costs.
Finally, Mr. Xiang Jianhai concluded the event by stating, “Digital transformation is no longer a choice for enterprise development; it is an inevitable path. Through today’s presentations and interactions, we believe that every participant will be able to gain actionable insights and solutions that will help their companies move toward a more efficient and intelligent future.”
The salon not only provided attendees with cutting-edge knowledge and practical experiences from the industry, but also helped them gain a deeper understanding of the practical application of digital transformation in manufacturing through hands-on experiences and interactive discussions. Many participants expressed that the event content was closely aligned with industry needs, and the successful case studies and technological explorations shared during the event had been insightful, inspiring greater confidence and determination to pursue further digital transformation.
